With their second album, Larvae strip their music out of the genres they had been associated with, and focus on a sincere reflection on their musical roots, their position as a band, and their place in the musical landscape. Integrating guitars on most tracks and vocals (by Jessica Bailiff, Shadowhuntaz, Hope For Agoldensummer and Scalper), Larvae give here birth to a very soulful and wonderfully produced album which can not be overlooked, a work of great substance and talent.

Zak Roberts (aka Cdatakill) is no newcomer to anybody interested in breakcore. Active since the 1990's under various avatars, he settled for the name Cdatakill in 2002, and has since then released music on Ad Noiseam, as well as Zhark, Low Res, Cross Fade Entertainment and Eupholus. His open-minded take at the boundaries-pushing of breakcore had made of him one of the most varied and surprising artists of the genre. Taking a opposite direction from the furious and complex 2004 "The Cursed Species", “Valentine” is a work whose wonders lay in the depths of its textures and its lush atmospheres. Still featuring the staccato rhythms and dry beats of Cdatakill's past, “Valentine” is strongly dub-oriented, an overall trip-hop tempo being brought together with guitar samples, sliced vocals and even an homage to the ever-useful 808. A album focusing more on beauty than on violence, and perfectly reflected in Magnus Blomster's original artwork, “Valentine” is a shape-changing, dense work which benefits from being listened to in a row, generating a lush, daydream-inducing mood. From the tribal beats of “You are mine” or the Billie Holiday cover (“Yesterdays”) to the exit of “Arapahoe County Sunset”, “Valentine” is Cdatakill's most compact release, an album in the truest sense of the word, and a work on which Zak Roberts can let his reach a new level of maturity, without having to prove his point again

The Sound System Mozat Dan H brings here his very First Album ! A 2x12'' featuring visual from his bro, a wonderfull illustrated double folder... The sound is like you will here it by clicking on the headphones : a beautyfull dancefloor electronik break under various forms. Notice this record should have been K-Hole 06, but the producer stopped the label and gave the production back to the Hekate's. Enjoy !

upon its arrival at the hymen records office, 'nrthndr' caused an unambiguous reaction: a marvellous album. aaron funk (venetian snares) recommended wisp to sublight records, and they immediately decided to release an album. the results were enthusiastic reviews and a 'top album' recommendation on the warp records' website. before 'nrthndr', reid dunn (a.k.a. wisp) made several albums/eps (both on cd and mp3 format), appeared on compilations and produced remixes. wisp's sound spectrum can be described as the perfect combination of atmospheric synth lines and well elaborated beats. the breaks have a Venetian snares approach in their complexity and precision - these breaks are combined with straight but complex metres with wonderful melodies (think beefcake or boards of canada). this album shows that reid dunn is one of the names that should be remembered. wisp is one of the rare artists in this genre who have the talent for both sound experimentation/tunes and the ability to last. we are not the only ones who believe this. the hymen records' vinyl version includes 6 tracks from the 'nrthndr' cd - fine electronica for your listening pleasure. a highly recommended release from an outstanding artist.
