Lavomaflex, Seb Normal

6

Lavomaflex sides is an ode to the electric acid electro, shouting bright hight frequencies, surrounded with banging breakz and kicking drills. The Seb Normal side is very Normal, I meas, not Normal, but Normal-Familly style... Through Seb is a bit more dub than the TFS or the Crash... But still it's very distorted and tortured enough to be normal...

17 french bands from the genesis of industrial, experimental, free jazz musics, for the most part unclassable underground musics, and more recent and emergent artists from the same vein, form COILECTIF: These artists explore and express, openly and without limits, what Coil’s heritage suggests to them, an opportunity to make an homage to Geff Rushton aka John Balance or Jhon[n] who left us on November 13th 2004. Coilectif is also an homage to all the musicians and illustrators Scherer & Ouporov participating to the project united for the first time in such an outline, where each one of them expresses what Coil’s universe evoques to him through lunar, astral and visionary excursions, keeping his own artistic identity. It is not a compilation of remixes of Coil, nor a catalogue of tracks of these artists released before, but a genuine concept of creation in which this collective of artists homogenizes itself around a real artistic project. The 17 new tracks form an intimate, magnetic and timeless piece of work. The vynil and CD editions come with quotations of various artists and with a text written for the project by the writer and philosopher Jean-Marc Vivenza called « méditation sur la mort ». Alchemycal music concept, magic and mystic.

Enduser

within the last few years, lynn standafer has become a well-recognized artist in the breakcore scene. his output is tremendous - not too long after 'the end', he now presents his new full length release, ‘form without function’ (featuring guest appearances by dj hidden, speaker wrath, somatic responses, submerged and silentkiller). 'form without function' follows what began with 'comparing paths': a movement from the raw sampling and breakbeat madness of his earlier works to the 21st century version of drum and bass - drum and bass with more breaks, ragga vocals and tight fitting sample work. the most basic foundation of the tracks on this album are a continuation of the sound created by artists like panacea in the 90s - straight-forward d'n'b with mighty, pounding basslines. this foundation is combined with the styles mentioned above - which is more than a 'mixture' - it's a style on it's own - 100% enduser. the rough moods conveyed by many breakcore acts cannot be found here - 'form without function' is a straight and tight release that does not cause eardrums to shatter. the speed is turned down in 'keep telling' which gives the listener time to relax but 'the choke' will get you moving again. the slightly melancholic 'by a thread' with it's bright piano is the perfect conclusion to the album. a truly fine example of a work of art by one of the innovators of the break based sound.

Rotator

5

REPRESS !! We first met Rotator back in 1999 when we were all beginning our record labels. Hailing from Rennes, a University town in NW France,? Frank Tavakoli and Gilles Gaultier played a live electronic mess of distorted breaks and fuzzy, compressed, intangible MCing. This was a new sound of pure punk energy and precise digital distortion. It contained too many breaks to be hardcore, so we called it breakcore. We released a 7" for them in 2001 while they were here on tour witnessing 9/11 with us. "Help Me Keep Up the Destruction" and "Chicken Boogie" helped define what many know as breakcore and sold out fast. Now 5 years later Rotator is simply Frank Tavakoli. Frank has gotten faster and more compressed, but also more dubby with an intensity dub has never heard before. Rotator will be releasing these tracks as part their their debut full-length later this year on Mirex. Until then, check Tavakoli's other projects on his Peace Off! and Mutant Sniper imprints. Check this link to hear the first track on their EP:?

Dälek

4

Dälek offer with “Streets All Amped” a new record of their original mixture of massive noise, heavy beats, intelligent vocals and detailed turntablism. Never short of talent, this act has now approached its sound from a new angle, placing the vocals more in the background than ever before since their “Necro Negro Nekros” album, and adding more details to their colossal wall of sound. “Streets All Amped” is a new display of virtuosity in an awe-inspiring discography, a record of sheer brilliance.

Noize Creator

2

Following NOIZE CREATOR‘s release for the NASDIA imprint comes another devastating beast. „When there's no more room in hell the dead will walk the earth.“ Scattered beats, bashed Amens, sonic mayhem and bad bass describes best what happens in „UNDEAD“. An untold story of violent proportions while the flipside holds „FLESH“. „They prey on humans, they do not prey on each other. That's the difference.“ And there is something that brings new life into the bodies of those dead maniacs. A well arranged druminferno packed in this surreal nightmare. The gates of hell are open and the dead are walking ... ACTIVE UNDERGOUND hit the shelves with its 8th release already. It all started in 1998 when NOIZE CREATOR unleashed his first two assaults on 10“. Since then the sound of ACTIVE UNDERGROUND significantly changed with each release and now turned into the dark side of a non existant breakbeat culture. After a first flashback in shape of a double CD holding tracks from all vinyl only releases plus lots of bonusmaterial (AU06), a 3x10“ album was released in 2005 to give all those hunters and collectors a 2nd chance in grabbing a copy of AU01 and AU02. But now is the time for some bloody torturing. AU08 is the 1st part of the „Trilogy of the Dead“.
