At the height of rock utopia in the 1960s, love children from San Francisco through New York to London set out to create a holistic environment influenced by groups like Soft Machine and Pink Floyd. Psychedelic utopia was an experimental guerrilla that took in everything from sex through politics, music, art, comic strips and the alternative press to animation. When the hippies said, “We all want to change the world,” music was just one of the means to their end. But the 1980s put the screws on, mainstream became the main man and the golden boys were born. In this charged atmosphere and its natural extension in the 2000s, it is now frowned upon to hop off the matrix, to take a different view. In a highly informed society that quickly subdues protest movements, you can no longer hope to gain approval for another lifestyle, a marginal way of thinking. Or can you? Turning their backs on the dictates of the industrial world and the illusion of cushy consumerism, musicians from all four corners of the globe have pitched up in Arambol. This village in the north of Goa is spearheading a psychedelic revival in the Indian province.

my motivation as a musician is to process my various influences. these 17 tracks can be seen as a distillate of experiences lasting 24 months. oftenly an artist can not remember the exact reasons for writing a track, he can only remember the specific mood, the moment and / or the atmosphere as origins. therefore, track names seemed redundant for this album. for me, 0000 can be seen as a substantial collection of filtered impressions and tiny interludes - or as a digital-acoustic diary. and letting other artists lay hands on these very personal impressions shows a new perspective to the own perception - what makes the entire work more multilateral and much more exiting...' (b.boysen / hecq) hecq can be seen as a phenomenon: an artist who consistently shows his amazing skills in creating new sound, a producer that works with musical technology and presents remixes that spotlight unseen facets in the work of other musicians. boysen is more than an expert knob twidler; the listener can easily hear that there is a sensitive human being operating the controls. on 0000, atmospheric soundscapes meet sharp cadences and abrupt breaks which leads the enthralled listener into hecq's world - an audiobook without a narrator. cd2 is a collection of hecq remixes and collaborations by nine different artists (some of them yet unknown - rekt, sytrjv, phylum sinter...) and others that are familiar (mad ep, snog, nebulo, newt, ginormous...). sounds range from syncopated electronic surveys and threatening soundtrack ambience to a chilling sound carpet that is accompanied by a voice that every hymen records' listener should know... one should be careful when making bold statements but this is hecq's best album and it will be one of the electronica landmarks in 2007. don't be fooled by the influences boysen is writing about; they are subliminally audible and in the end you will realize: 'it sounds like....hecq!'

it took this morn' omina three years to reach the next part of the 'nyan' trilogy, and it was worth the wait. lots of change and experiences happened during this period - the most important change might be that of sal-ocin, the new band member, his skills as a percussionist have been added to mika's ultra-precise machinery usage - on stage and in the studio. 'les passages jumeaux' is presented as a 2-cd-set: 25 (cd1): you will be blown away by the sheer power and intensity of the first two tracks but then you will be lead into a state of hypnosis, trance and ecstasy - and before you know it you will get trapped in the tribal beats and moody sequencer lines. lines that lead to the world tree and 33 . 33 (cd2): your senses will be overwhelmed by thronging rhythmic variations, atmospheric synth lines and voice samples. t.m.o.'s ability to create a continuous musical flow while welding a conglomeration of single tracks to one logical aural concept is always astonishing and is proven here once again. this release is an excellent continuation of this morn' ominas work - and 'nyan' will be continued...

We can't say how many good comments have been done about this compilation that issued in 2004. But to make it short I'd say this is the contium of that Mail Art, fandom, Hometaping movement (Etats Des Stocks, Human Flesh) in a nawadays verion (Ripit, Planetaldol...) with some crossing with Free Party Movement experimentations (Cortex, Tzii)... Fresh !
