Flint Glass

10

Flint Glass, with his first release ‘Hierakonpolis’, appears already in the foreground of finest electronica.Like an architect who built up his constructions in different layers and channels, Flint Glass works with this method by using only sampling tools. "Hierakonpolis" could be compared, in some ways, to projects like Autechre, Beefcake or For a Space ; but the sounds of this album have already surged off on a totally different, and very personnal tangent. Almost everything imaginable in sounds is being collected, deconstructed and rebuilt afterwards. This is a unique and vast collection of sounds, ranging from catchy melodies and samples mercilessly interrupted by distorted beats. The cold polyrhythmic drumcodes are bet into a melted ambiance of different experimentations. It's the warm timbre of this dark ambient recording which creates its own unique sonic profile.

Kom-Intern

9

Taking up with the atmospheres of his first album, Kom-Intern does not nevertheless hesitate to undertake towards a harder dark techno, or to investigate a hybrid dark jungle. Sort of crossover between the mental Indus and as more dance-floor oriented " Funkspiel " joins logically after " Order 937 ", confirming at the same time the dance efficiency of Kom-Intern, without sacrificing anything of the radicality.

Remain Silent

6

By listening to the final result, you understand why producing T/I/D has been particularly long. It is a powerful and straight album as well as a very complex set of rhythms joint to the darkness of atmospheric patches and heady melodies. What differs from other industrial rhythmic projects is that moods are not bathed in sound, everything is juxtaposed and superposed in order to create very rich songs. This LP is a triptych that allows to retranscribe a strong concept: The author's worldview is summed up in three long songs of more than 20 minutes each It is a cycle of life. Tension can be felt everywhere and in everything. It leads the human being to shut himself away in his own world using introversion in order to find rest only through destruction. This artistic portrait evokes in a very individual way the results of isolation, anger and their consequences over our mind through unpredictable cycles. Fluctuating between futuristic atmospheres and unstoppable rhythmic. This album is a journey through numerous horizons and abysses. It allows the audience to experience something very intense and dive into the heart of existential mechanism. So as to plunge the auditor completely and without any concession, the three songs are not subdivided into different parts. That way, it remains homogeneous and coherent. This first ambitious LP marks the promising beginning of Remain Silent into the international electronic industrial scene.

De Mange Machine

9

Mostly influenced by Nurse With Wound, Illusion Of Safety and Hirsche Nicht Aufs Sofa’ surrealist collages, and the unique atmospheres of Zoviet France, The Hafler Trio, Whitehouse, Coil’s albums. Bands characterised by an unlimited freedom of creation. Demange Machine uniqueness rests on in the simplicity and essence of the elements. Emotions are not considered here at all - they are replaced by sensorial stimulation. restricted to there very essence, this is a timeless album, arising from a blinding, arrhythmic labyrinth of beauty. Demange Machine’s work is thus a reflection of our lives in turns beautiful or monstrous, but always complex , paradoxical. This new album comes in a luxurious 12 pages booklet packaging, limited and numbered - 333 copies edition.)

Flint Glass

10

A slightly more melodic, sad and obscure side of Flint Glass that still keeps the cold and dark atmosphere that defines its sound. Inspired by H.P Lovecraft novels, coldness and warmth are constantly fighting for predominance and the quasi-total absence of vocals makes it an extremely visionary record which would be a perfect match for a number of movie soundtracks varying from post apocalyptic to foggy northern woods, from lunar landscapes to horror aberrations. Deeply disturbing and yet unequivocally enjoyable and morbidly relaxing. This album is coming in a beautiful 8 pages digipack designed by Eyelyft and include four excellent remixes by Ah Cama Sotz, This Morn Omina with Empusae, Xabec and Disharmony.

Lith

10

On the occasion of its tenth year of existence, talented French project LITH delivers a new album, powerful and committed. “Gaïa” (the Earth) is a call for our planet as the living cradle of everything that is ; in turns dark and desperate, “Gaïa” hints at man as the destructor of nature and species (“Hiroshima”, “Katami”) but also evokes, in an optimistic, hopeful manner, the cultures that have deified the earth and its elements (“Sentinelese”, “Huli”) and that still survive today. Thus, somewhere between nightmare and dream, “Gaïa” ultimately points at the fact that, as the wisdom of sustaining the world about us was immediately obvious to many men as they developed, so it should continue to be obvious to us. For this new opus, LITH continues to explore the way opened by " Tribal End” while succeeding in giving to his sound experiment even more depth and meaning. Mixing aesthetical soundscapes, tribal and trance elements, distorted noises, fast break beats and powerful industrial rhythms in the vein of Somatic Responses, Antigen Shift or Iszoloscope, LITH creates a unique sound atmosphere and clearly confirms his leading position in the French up-tempo industrial electronic scene.
