Hailing from Toulouse in the south of France, but also living in Belgium and constantly traveling, Les Trolls are a collective of producers, MCs and artists who have continued to impress us the past five years with a string of self-released EPs. Their style, created largely by 2 producers, Nurgle and Trouble Clef, is a blend of elements most commonly known in French free-party circles as hard tek. While hard tek generally refers to a techno sound punctuated by distorted 909 kicks, Les Trolls blend a solid hip hop foundation into the mix, utilizing Paris MC Abraxas, among others. They also don't shy away from weaving in live instrumentation and improvisation.
